Kathleen is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and public health professional who believes that sometimes the most important work we do is learning to look inward with curiosity, compassion, and honesty.
Before joining Inward Focus, Kathleen worked in hospital leadership, employee wellbeing, crisis management, primary care, and community mental health. She has supported healthcare workers, first responders, educators, leaders, families, couples and individuals through some of life's most stressful and emotionally demanding moments.
She has a special interest in working with public service and public safety professionals. After years spent supporting healthcare teams, emergency department staff, and organizations responding to crisis, Kathleen understands how easy it can be to focus on everyone else's needs while losing sight of your own. She is passionate about helping the helpers and believes that the people who care for others deserve a space to slow down, reflect, and receive support themselves.
Kathleen's approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. She draws from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) and Narrative Therapy to help clients better understand themselves and develop effective coping strategies. She is an NIHB provider, and her services are covered by most insurance plans.
Outside of therapy, Kathleen is a mother, community advocate, and a the founder a digital health initiative. She believes meaningful change happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to take the next step forward.
