Dr. Jasmine Dean, PhD, Clinical Psychologist

Supervising Psychologist

jasmine@inwardfocus.ca

Dr. Dean has over 10 years of experience in providing resilience skills building and trauma-focused therapy to first responders including 911 operators, police, firefighters, emergency medical services and military members. She is able to provide services through individual benefits or WSIB for frontline workers and for military veterans through Veteran’s Affairs Canada. She understands how uncomfortable it can be to reach out for support. She loves helping clients navigate the therapy process and walk away with practical skills and a sense of relief. Laughing, crying, and/or swearing are all welcome in her office. She is also happy to address non-work related areas like life transitions, relationships, anxiety, and difficult past or childhood experiences.

She works collaboratively with her clients to design a treatment plan and course of action that is specific to their needs- this often includes the use of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), EMDR, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.

Dr. Dean is also a certified yoga teacher (RYT-200 hours) and enjoys supporting her clients in incorporating mindfulness, meditation, and physical wellness practices into their daily lives.
